Inside Sales Associate

McCormick Paints is looking for a Floating Inside Sales Associate to support our stores across the Baltimore region.The Floating Inside Sales Associate plays a key role in supporting multiple stores by providing excellent customer service, supporting daily store operations, and ensuring accurate and efficient handling of orders. This position requires active participation in sales, store upkeep, warehouse tasks, and deliveries as needed. Flexibility, attention to detail, and a customer-first attitude are essential.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Greet and assist customers, assess their needs, and provide knowledgeable product recommendationsTint, mix, and match paint accurately to meet customer specificationsProcess customer orders, including preparing items for both in-store pickup and deliveryAccurately handle point-of-sale transactions, returns, and account chargesAssist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotationReceive and stock incoming deliveries in the store and warehouseLoad and unload delivery vehicles with paint and sundry productsMake deliveries to customers, ensuring timely and professional serviceMaintain a clean, organized, and safe store and warehouse environmentParticipate in regular store cleaning, display setup, and equipment upkeepAssist with administrative tasks such as updating price books, managing customer account cards, and filing paperworkProvide operational support across multiple store locations as assigned, based on business needsPerform other duties as assigned to support the store and sales teamQUALIFICATIONSPrior experience is a retail, sales or customer service positionCustomer service skills, including problem solving and handling customer complaintsGood written and verbal communication skillsBilingual, Spanish, preferredAbility to work effectively in a customer-centered environmentAttention to detailDependability, flexibility and professional demeanorEnergetic and positive attitudeA self-motivated, engaged, team playerHigh school degree, or equivalentMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and carry up to 50lbsMust be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephoneMust be able to pass a background checkA valid driver’s license & clean driving recordPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
