What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Attorney position at McCormick Law Firm?
The McCormick Law Firm is seeking a litigation attorney for our Texas practice. We can place this attorney in either our DFW or San Antonio location. We are headquartered in Euless, Texas.
The primary responsibilities of a litigation attorney at McCormick Law Firm are:
1. Manage about 90 active litigation files from filing suit through discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial with the assistance of a dedicated 2-person paralegal team.
2. Communicate professionally with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and medical providers in order to resolve a case quickly and efficiently.
3. Be a motivated self-starter who can direct a team of paralegals toward effective results on behalf of clients.
4. Manage the settlement of cases and disbursement of funds to clients, lien holders, and medical providers.
We offer a generous compensation plan for this position. It is structured as a base salary and fee share. Base salary is $100,000. Fee Share range is 10%-15% based on experience. Litigation attorneys can expect to earn $275,000 - $350,000 annually in total compensation depending on experience. Additionally, staff attorney referrals to the firm earn up to a 50% fee share.
Other benefits include up to three weeks of paid time off, two additional weeks of paid holidays, paid parental leave policy and medical, dental, vision, short term and long term insurance coverages. A moving stipend is available to candidates who must relocate for the position.
