Role Description
McCormick Insulation Supply is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations across multiple branches. This critical role is responsible for vendor coordination, purchase order execution, inventory strategy, and cost control to ensure product availability, pricing consistency, and operational efficiency. The Purchasing Manager works closely with branch leadership, operations, and suppliers to support company-wide performance and growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage purchasing activities for multiple branch locations
• Create, issue, and track purchase orders with approved vendors
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate pricing, lead times, and on-time deliveries
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to support branch needs
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve supply or fulfillment issues
• Ensure purchasing compliance with company policies and approval thresholds
• Collaborate with branch managers, operations, and warehouse teams
• Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities
• Support inventory accuracy, turns, and fill-rate performance
Minimum Requirements
• 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience
• Proven experience placing and managing POs across multiple locations
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience purchasing for mechanical insulation or construction materials
• Experience supporting distribution or construction-related operations
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel required)
• Multi-branch or regional procurement experience
• Process improvement or cost-reduction initiative experience
