In-House: Sr Legal Counsel - Commercial Contracts Attorney (Chicago/Hybrid)

About the Position:

We have been exclusively engaged by our client, a dynamic global professional services firm headquartered in Chicago, in its search for an experienced commercial contracts attorney (5 years) to join as a Senior Legal Counsel, reporting directly to the Co-Chairman and Co-Founder of the company. The attorney in this role will take the lead on a full range of legal matters, including commercial contracts, strategic business initiatives, risk management and corporate maintenance. This position offers a hybrid schedule, with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.

Responsibilities:

· Draft and negotiate a variety of complex contracts to ensure legal and contractual compliance

· Evaluate contractual requirements and obligations and provide analysis/interpretation to business unit leaders

· Advise internal clients on legal and contractual rights, obligations, and interpretation of terms

· Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure the company’s desired business specifications are carried out

· Develop internal policies and procedures for contract management and corporate operations

Required Qualifications:

· 5 or more years of corporate experience in a strong law firm and/or with an in-house legal group

· Substantial commercial contracts experience (including engagement letters, business agreements, vendor contracts, employment contracts and non-disclosure agreements)

· Professional services experience is a plus
