Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to oversee the management and growth of our company’s portfolio of freezer assets. This role is responsible for overseeing, developing, and implementing strategies for ordering and tracking the Wells fleet of merchandising freezers. You will work closely with other members of the management team to ensure that assets are utilized effectively, maintained properly, and generate optimal returns for the organization.
Oversee all aspects of freezer and merchandising equipment asset management, including ordering, repair tracking, replacements, retirements, throughput tracking and reporting.
Prepare and manage the annual equipment capital budget, ensuring purchases align with budget targets and sourcing cost-effective vendor solutions.
Administer and optimize the freezer ordering process in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and internal and 3rd party IT partners.
Maintain accurate inventory records of inbound/outbound, stock by model, asset status changes, audits, and field reporting.
Develop and maintain vendor relationships to resolve order issues, track repairs by manufacturer/model, and monitor asset lifecycle performance.
Own and manage system integrations with Finance/Accounting for fixed asset tracking.
Develop and deliver asset performance dashboards and scorecards in Tableau/Power BI.
Analyze equipment performance data, providing insights and forecasts to support sales and growth initiatives.
Support cross-functional teams with equipment-related reporting, distributor support, and program tracking.
Contribute to ad hoc projects and provide leadership in asset-related process improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience (finance, operations, supply chain, or data analytics preferred).
2–3 years of experience in food service, DSD distribution, or related industries.
Strong accounting, financial and asset management skills, including capital planning and forecasting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Experience with Oracle, IntegraSys, or other enterprise/database systems.
Experience in Tableau/Power BI for data visualization and performance tracking.
Understanding of data flow management, data quality, and governance best practices.
Coding and data analysis skills are a plus (SQL, Python, or similar).
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
The base pay range for this position is $93,959 to $131,543 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This pay range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time
