Position: Cage Wash Technician
Type: Full-Time hourly
Hourly Compensation Range: Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience and skills.
Position Summary:
The McConnell Group, www.themccgroup.com, a health science company, has an opening for full-time Cage Wash I Technician.
Required Screenings:
Candidate MUST pass a government background investigation (NAC), employment physical and drug/alcohol screening, as required by law, including fingerprint and social media screen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean hallways
- Stock PPE cabinets
- Remove trash at entrances
- Clean and stock bathrooms
- Clean mop closets and elevator stainless steel
- Sanitize hallways, feed rooms, and animal holding rooms
- Operate and maintain equipment used
- Collect soiled caging/equipment and transport to cage wash
- Complete documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent at time of hire.
- Be able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs.
- Have the physical stamina to be on feet all day.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Candidate must be cleared fit for duty via a health physical.
- Candidate must pass a social media background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and work with laboratory equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. routinely, with occasional specialized lifting of 75 lbs., as needed.
