This will be an hourly position with the ability to work overtime.
Job Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.
- Apply paint to surfaces, according to AISC paint specifications
- Prepare material to be painted, including tapping off areas as needed
- Move painted material from spray area to drying area
- Load, unload, stack, discard structural steel material onto or off tables/bucks, floors, or conveyors using yourself, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment
- Examine structural material to verify conformance to AISC quality standards by checking wet film thickness
- Follow instructions for operating coatings equipment and execute assignments in a timely and safe manner
- Follow company standards and legal regulations to ensure a safe and positive work atmosphere wearing proper PPE
- Identify and report safety hazards in the workplace
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications & Skills
- Prior relevant experience with (airless) paint sprayers strongly desired.
- Ability to drive a forklift is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand or perform repetitive movements for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must possess strong work ethic.
- Must be a team player.
- High school diploma or GED required.
