Job Description
The Tax & Accounting Manager plays a key role in providing exceptional service to our clientele. This role has career growth opportunity with a clearly defined path to Income Partner (Branch Partner). A successful candidate for this position will be client focused, self-motivated, caring, open to change, and versatile with their tax, accounting, and advisory expertise.
Responsibilities
- Accounting
- Manage client projects
- Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements
- Identifying client issues/deficiencies and assist with recommending solutions
- Managing client compliance deadlines
- Manage and maintain client relationships
- Communicating frequently and effectively with client contacts
- Executing projects in a timely, efficient manner
- Onboarding new clients
- Tax
- Prepare client tax projections
- Assist in preparing & reviewing individual and business tax returns
- Advisory
- Conduct client meetings
- Financial statement analysis
- Providing advice to clients centered on their accounting and finance functions
General
- Managing staff assigned
- Manage miscellaneous projects assigned by Partner
- Manage and conduct staff meetings
- Travel to McComb & Company office or client location as necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field
- Active CPA or EA license required
- 3 years of experience in accounting and tax services
