REAL ESTATE CLOSING ATTORNEY
McCollum Law, PC is seeking a North Carolina licensed attorney to join our growing real estate practice.
This position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys client interaction, transaction management, and helping buyers, sellers, lenders, builders, investors, and real estate professionals successfully navigate residential and commercial real estate transactions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing our closing practice and will be responsible for conducting closings, supervising files from contract to funding, reviewing title work, addressing title issues, and ensuring an exceptional client experience throughout the transaction process.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage residential and commercial real estate closing files from opening through post-closing.
Conduct buyer, seller, refinance, construction, HELOC, and commercial real estate closings.
Review title searches, title commitments, surveys, deeds, easements, restrictive covenants, and related documents.
Identify, analyze, and resolve title defects and curative matters.
Supervise title abstracting and title review processes.
Prepare and review legal documents related to real estate transactions.
Communicate directly with clients, lenders, real estate agents, builders, surveyors, and title insurance underwriters.
Provide practical legal guidance regarding title issues, ownership questions, easements, probate matters, trust issues, and closing requirements.
Work closely with experienced paralegals and closing staff to ensure efficient file management and outstanding customer service.
Qualifications:
Licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience conducting residential real estate closings.
