Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Manage daily on-site activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
- Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and complies with local building codes.
- Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes and delays.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment, complying with OSHA and local regulations.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between on-site teams and project management, providing regular updates on progress and issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including work performed, materials used, and any incidents or delays.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
- Skills: Self-starter with strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Technology: Proficient with standard office software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PDF tools. Ability to navigate cloud-based platforms from desktop and mobile device (e.g., Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or similar).
- Knowledge: Understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Experience: Construction supervision with experience in commercial/industrial construction.
- Certifications: OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification preferred; First Aid/CPR certification preferred. ATI can provide certification training if needed.
- Familiarity with the greater Iowa City metro construction markets.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with local permitting processes and building inspections.
