Position Summary
The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for procuring materials, products, and services required to deliver custom cabinetry and millwork projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. This role serves as the primary point of contact for suppliers, coordinates purchase orders, manages vendor relationships, and supports inventory planning to ensure seamless production flow.The Purchasing Specialist collaborates closely with Sales, Design, Estimating, Engineering, Production, Installation, and Project Management teams to align purchasing decisions with project schedules, cost targets, and operational requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong problem solving and follow-through skills are required.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail are required to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and external regulations.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience with ERP/Procurement systems preferred
- Basic understanding of cabinetry and millwork materials, hardware, and supply chain fundamentals.
Education and Experience
- Required: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience in purchasing, supply chain, operations, or related field.
- Required: 2–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing, woodworking, millwork, or related industries.
- Experience with vendor negotiation and contract terms beneficial.
