Position Title: Concrete Estimator

We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Full-Time Concrete Estimator to join our team. The Concrete Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for concrete construction projects. This role involves analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine material, labor, and equipment costs while ensuring bids are comprehensive and aligned with project goals. The following are general responsibilities for the position:
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to understand scope and requirements.
- Calculate quantities of concrete, rebar, formwork, and other materials needed for projects.
- Estimate labor hours and equipment requirements based on project complexity and timelines.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing for materials and services.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including breakdowns for materials, labor, and overhead.
- Present estimates to project managers and clients, addressing questions and clarifications.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities to optimize costs during the bidding process.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, assumptions, and supporting documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction techniques.
- Assist in value engineering to provide cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Create construction schedules.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
· 3 years of experience in concrete estimating or construction cost estimation.
· Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, and equipment.
· Proficiency in Takeoff Software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
· Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and clients.
· Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
· Knowledge of local building codes and regulations (preferred).
· Valid driver’s license and ability to visit project sites as needed.
· Familiarity with Takeoff Software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation and Benefits Include:
- Salary Range – $75,000 - $106,000 (DOE)
