Who We’re Looking For:
We’re searching for freshmen and sophomores at accredited HBCUs who:
- Have a 3.0 GPA (transcript required)
- Show a passion for careers in journalism, business, multimedia, marketing, finance, digital design, product innovation, tech, AI/technology, and more.
- Are involved in extracurricular activities or volunteer work.
- Love a challenge, value teamwork, and want to make a difference in their communities.
Program Commitments:
- Complete two to three consecutive summer internships (10 weeks each).
- Commit to working full-time at McClatchy for one year post-graduation.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $15 per hour. Individual base pay may vary within that range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, department equity, training, geography and local wage and hours laws.
