Security Officer – Residential Community (Muskegon, MI)

Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time
Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Evening/Night shifts (7–8 hour shifts)

About the Role
McCausey Security Group is hiring professional and dependable Security Officers for a residential apartment community in Muskegon. This position focuses on safety, visibility, resident support, and proactive patrols.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols throughout property
- Perform odor/smoke checks, noise checks, lighting checks, door checks
- Monitor hallways, parking areas, and common spaces
- Professionally respond to disturbances and resident concerns
- Engage respectfully with residents and property management
- Complete hourly activity logs and incident reports accurately
- Provide visible deterrence and enforce property policies
- Contact police/EMS/fire when necessary and follow protocol
Requirements
✅ Valid driver’s license
✅ Reliable transportation
✅ Strong verbal & written communication skills
✅ Ability to walk and patrol for extended periods
✅ Pass background check & drug screening
✅ Professional appearance & conduct
✅ Customer-service focused & calm under pressure
Preferred (not required):
- Security, military, law enforcement, or residential patrol experience
- Michigan CPL
