Responsibilities

- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently.
- Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to ensure proper care and health; assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and pest management.
- Maintain hardscape features like pathways, patios, and retaining walls to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal.
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules; troubleshoot issues with sprinklers or drip systems.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist with tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and assessing tree health for safety purposes.
Qualifications
- Prior outdoor work experience or background in landscaping or grounds maintenance is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, and irrigation systems is essential.
- Strong understanding of horticulture principles including plant identification and pest management techniques.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Knowledge of lawn care practices such as mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control.
