The carpenter foreman supports the completion of projects by working closely with the carpenter general foreman, assistant project superintendents, and project superintendents. Primary Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities
- Form sidewalks, pads, grade beams, and other ground level structures by properly following/reading layout (independently)
- Safely strip wall form systems
- Safely build wall form and deck form systems
- Safely form stairs
- Perform materials calculations
- Plan day to day activities
- Assist with creation of look ahead schedules and work plans
- Time keeping and reporting of labor force hours
- Recognize hazards and danger zones
- Train and mentor new hires
- Coordinate work with other trades
- Efficiently communicates job expectations to laborer crews
- Complete McCarthy EEO policies training
- Complete McCarthy Foreman Development courses
- 5 years of experience managing crews on large commercial, civil, or marine construction projects
- Prior experience with self-perform concrete work
- Flexible—can throw tool bags on as needed
- Able to identify issues and provide solutions
- Understands form shop drawings
- Able to understand look ahead schedule and job sequences
- Proficient with blueprint reading (details, notes, sections…etc.) and lay out (transfer levels, off sets, and set points…etc.)
- Able to identify and differentiate form systems and its components
- Must understand level, plumb, area and volume/square concepts
- Proven commitment to Safety
- Work in an organized manner
- Able to work night shifts when needed
- Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds
- Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
- Minimum age 18
- Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
- $38.50/hr
