Part-Time Dental Hygienist
McCann Pediatric Dentistry, P.C.
McCann Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a friendly, motivated Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our team beginning in early 2026. This role is ideal for a hygienist who enjoys working with children in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Schedule
- Monday–Wednesday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Part-time position
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings and preventive services for pediatric patients
- Take and process dental radiographs
- Apply fluoride treatments
- Monitor patients during nitrous oxide administration
- Educate patients and caregivers on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Accurately document patient care and maintain clinical records
- Support dentist and team members to ensure efficient patient flow
- Follow all OSHA, infection control, and safety guidelines
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Current Dental Hygienist license in the state of Tennessee
- CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with pediatric patients preferred (but not required)
- Proficiency in dental radiology
- Experience with sealant application and preventive care
- Comfort monitoring nitrous oxide
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Gentle chairside manner and ability to put children at ease
- Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
