Florida Litigation Attorney

JOB SUMMARY:Represent mortgage lenders and investor clients in commercial and residential foreclosure, title disputes and real estate litigation.  This position includes but is not limited to making appearances in state and federal court for routine and contested hearings and trials, reviewing incoming litigation and developing case strategy, drafting documents, and conducting settlement negotiations.  DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage case load of contested matters on behalf of residential and commercial mortgage lenders and investors.Appear in court and argue motions and appear at trials necessary to the successful completion of both routine and contested foreclosure, eviction, title curative/ title disputes, HOA/COA issues and other matters. Communicate with clients regularly for updates and case resolution.Analyze loan files, title reports and other client documents.  Draft motions and prepare written discovery and responses. Prepare for and attend trials.Legal research and writing are required. EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:J.D. degree, licensed in Florida and in good standing with the Florida Bar Minimum 2 years relevant Litigation experience, 5 years preferred.Minimum 2 years motion practice experienceMinimum 2 years courtroom experienceKnowledge of Florida Mortgage Foreclosure LawKnowledge of Florida Code of Civil Procedure and Supreme Court RulesPrevious experience with foreclosure litigation involving residential and commercial property KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:Effectively manage time and prioritiesStrong writing skillsAbility to effectively communicate written and oralAbility to work independently or in a group/team settingAbility to maintain high level of professionalismAbility to interact and communicate well with clients, staff, peers and management of all levels  PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Salary : $85,000 - $150,000
