McCall Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Directional Drill Operator/Locator in Lumberton, NC to perform directional drilling for the installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable.

As a McCall-Thomas Directional Drill Operator/Locator, you will be joining a team of dedicated individuals committed to our mission of providing quality solutions and services to our clients.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform standard maintenance work on drill and support equipment
- Drive/operate diesel or gasoline powered equipment to/from/on jobsite (backhoe, trencher, directional bore, bucket truck)
- Locate buried wiring/cabling and install underground telecommunications cables
- Install coax and fiber systems using ditch witch or vermeer type drill
- Flagging/Safely coordinate vehicles and equipment within public areas/active work sites
- Restore worksite
- Perform general construction work using using hand tools under direction of Foreman
- Performs other duties as necessary
What Will You Need:
- HS diploma
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship
- Minimum 2 years' experience in directional drilling/locating
- Ability to locate and dig around utilities to install underground conduit and fiber optic cable
- Ability to complete daily bore logs manually and electronically
- Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for the project build process
- Ability to follow directions, produce quality work, maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all Federal, State, and Company regulations and policies
- Positive attitude and ability to complete tasks on schedule
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships
