Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate HTS (Home and Community-Based Support) professional to join our team. This role involves working closely with clients in their home and community settings, ensuring they receive the assistance they need to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Facilitate social interactions and community engagement opportunities for clients.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
- Document progress and report any changes in client behavior or health status.
Experience
- Previous experience in home community care or direct support roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism.
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and behavior management techniques.
- Experience in special education or related fields is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
