McCall Middle School is looking for a talented and dedicated leave of absenceEnglish teacher for June 11-June 26
- who is passionate about creating a student-centered environment conducive to the intellectual, social, and emotional development of middle school age students.
- Candidates should have a detailed understanding of effective methods and a strong knowledge of pedagogy for the English classroom that include the writing process, reader response, and a flexible repertoire for assessing skills that incorporates performance-based assessments.
- Candidates should have a growth mindset and embrace collaboration and curriculum development within the goal of continuous improvement.
- Responsiveness to the value of including diverse texts and the infusion of technology is valued.
- A commitment to developing, selecting and modifying instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students should be part of the regular practice of the candidate.
- Preference will be given to candidates with co-teaching experience.
- A valid DESE certification in English 5-8 and an undergraduate degree in English are required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
