Now Hiring: School Custodian – Wallace School District (Full-Time)

Location: Wallace, ID

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5 AM- 1 PM

Pay Range: $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on experience

McCall Cleaners is hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to provide janitorial services at Wallace School District. This role is essential to maintaining clean, safe, and healthy learning environments for students, staff, and visitors.

Position Responsibilities

· Restrooms

· Disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, counters, mirrors, and partitions

· Refill supplies; empty trash and sanitary bins

· Sweep and mop floors

· Classrooms

· Empty trash and replace liners

· Wipe desks, tables, chairs, and touchpoints

· Disinfect door handles and switches

· Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors

· Library

· Dust desks, counters, tables, and shelving

· Clean interior glass and doors

· Vacuum carpets or mop floors

· Remove trash

· Hallways and Common Areas

· Dust mop and scrub floors

· Clean high-touch surfaces, railings, and handles

· Spot-clean walls, doors, and glass

· Empty trash receptacles

· Day Porter Duties (8 AM- 1PM)

· Perform restroom touch-ups and restocking

· Spot mop and clean fingerprints

· Respond to spills and immediate custodial needs

· Deep Cleaning (Summer and Break Periods)

· Strip and wax floors

· Perform carpet extraction and sanitation

· Clean windows, walls, and hard-to-reach areas

Qualifications and Requirements

· Experience and Skills

· Prior janitorial or custodial experience, especially in commercial or school environments, preferred

· Ability to follow cleaning procedures and operate janitorial equipment

· Familiarity with safety protocols and sanitation best practices

· Ability to operate floor scrubbing machines

· Physical Requirements

· Must be able to stand and work on your feet for up to 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

· Must be physically capable of completing the full scope of duties each night

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds overhead

· Ability to bend, reach, climb ladders, and carry supplies and equipment as needed

· HEPA-filter vacuums and low-noise cleaning equipment

· Green Seal-certified, environmentally friendly cleaning products

· Microfiber mop systems and standard janitorial carts

· Floor scrubbers, extraction equipment, and PPE

· ClockShark GPS system for time and shift verification
