Certified PeerThe Certified Peer will have the primary responsibility of being a peer support to clients while they are in our residential treatment. Works with the clinical team in promoting change within clients so that they may lead healthier lives. This includes facilitation of peer support groups, individual peer support through sharing of personal experience when appropriate, and client advocacy within clinical team meetings. Full-Time / Non-ExemptHourly Rate starts at $24.00/hourQUALIFICATIONSAn associate’s degree is preferred, and peer support certification is required within 90 days of hire. Previous experience with recovering persons preferred. Previous experience with an electronic health record preferred. Ability to communicate in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred. Must have organizational, verbal, and written communication skillsPhysical Requirements: Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk, using the phone, and working on a computer. Maintain appropriate clinical records and reports according to established timelines. Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings regarding client treatment and meets weekly for supervision with the Clinical Program Director. Assistance with admission and discharge processes. Collection of urine samples for drug testing as requested by program director and clinician. Provide transportation to clients for appointments as needed. Ensure client safety through periodic client checks. Provide services in other residential programs as necessary. Any additional responsibilities assigned by Lead Recovery Support Professional/Program Supervisor.
