About The Role.
The Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) Technician plays a critical role in supporting and maintaining food safety and quality systems within a food manufacturing facility. This position ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards, including HACCP programs and Critical Control Point (CCP) monitoring. The FSQ Technician helps protect product integrity, ensures safe food production, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
What You’ll Be Doing.
Compensation Package: Starting at $20/hour plus $1.50 Shift Differential

What You’ll Be Doing.
- Support implementation, maintenance, and verification of HACCP plans
- Perform routine monitoring and documentation of Critical Control Points (CCPs)
- Identify and escalate deviations from CCP limits and execute corrective actions
- Conduct product and process inspections to ensure adherence to quality specifications
- Perform sampling, testing, and evaluation of raw materials, in-process, and finished products
- Verify label accuracy, packaging integrity, and product traceability
- Maintain calibration of testing and monitoring equipment
- Complete routine quality checks (e.g., sensory evaluations, X-ray checks, coding verification, oil/Fatty Acid testing)
- Execute environmental monitoring, including ATP testing and swabbing
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation and participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or food safety preferred
- Working knowledge of HACCP principles and CCP monitoring requirements
- Familiarity with GMPs, SSOPs, FSMA, and food safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, data entry systems)
- Ability to interpret and apply technical standards and procedures
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills
- Demonstrated accountability, integrity, and commitment to food safety culture
