What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boilermaker/ Helper position at McCain Engineering?
The leading boiler services company in the south, with almost 100 year growth history, is accepting applicants for experienced millwrights and fitter-welders to perform mechanical repair on boilers of all types. Positions require a lot of travel.
We have immediate openings.
- 3yrs. or more experience in the field of industrial boilers and/or piping systems.
- Experience with safety protocols within industrial environments is required.
- Should be capable of welding, fitting, piping work, rigging, and other tasks.
- Candidates must be capable of working in confined spaces (typical boiler manway access is 11” x 15”)
- Experience in the certified welding of carbon steel piping systems and other components.
- Ability as excellent fitter or to certify with SMAW/GTAW welding.
- 6G position is required.
Candidates must have excellent driving record with valid license, and excellent safety record.
Position will involve routine short term travel, during the week in a company truck, in southeastern US, from McCain's Pelham facility.
Candidates should live within 60 miles of Pelham, AL.
Boiler experience is a plus but not required.
Overtime is typical.
