General Summary
McCabe Lumber Estimating & Engineered Wood Product (EWP) Design is at the forefront of technological innovation, bringing 3D BIM modeling to building material estimating and design with MiTek's SAPPHIRE
Supply and other industry leading software. The department provides customers with residential estimating services for framing lumber, engineered lumber, siding, exterior trim, interior trim, and decking.
We are looking for a Full Time CAD Estimator & EWP Designer who will be responsible for producing accurate and timely bill-of-materials using MiTek SAPPHIRE Supply.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand full suite of McCabe Lumber Estimating & EWP services & product capabilities
- Use architectural and structural plans to create whole house 3D models in Supply for material estimating
- Coordinate with the Estimating & EWP Manager to ensure all estimates and layouts meet agreed-upon criteria
- Answer product questions and provide quotes for EWP systems to sales staff and customers
- Utilize proprietary software to perform LVL beam calculations
- Coordinate with McCabe Lumber sales staff and dispatch to ensure timely deliveries of EWP job packs
- Other supporting tasks as assigned by the Estimating & EWP Manager
Job Requirements
- Willingness to learn and great attitude Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Good customer service skills Maintain proficiency with internal company
- Must be organized and detail-oriented with a systems/software and vendor programs strong will to meet deadlines and project goals Must possess good interpersonal skills yet be
