Join MCCA as a Behavioral Health Counselor – Waterbury, CT
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? MCCA Waterbury Outpatient Services is seeking a full-time Licensed or Associate Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor to join our dedicated and knowledgeable team. This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed professional with a strong background in human services and behavioral health counseling.
What You’ll Do...
- Client Assessment & Treatment Planning: Evaluate client strengths, needs, and limitations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using MCCA’s proven curriculum. Regularly review and adjust plans to ensure effective care.
- Admissions & Intake: Conduct evaluations for program admission, complete intake documentation, and determine client eligibility and appropriate treatment modalities.
- Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate and timely records including assessments, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other client-related documentation to support continuity of care and agency accountability.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with internal and external professionals to ensure comprehensive, high-quality care for each client.
What We’re Looking For...
- Licensure: Must hold one of the following Connecticut licenses: LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LADC, LPCA, LMFTA, or LMSW.
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Counseling, or a related Social Sciences field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with electronic medical records systems is preferred.
