The Production Manager is responsible for overall site production operations. Creates a work environment which promotes safety, quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness. Effectively develops teams that can achieve corporate improvement objectives. Accountable for all aspects of plant production performance while ensuring objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner. Drives best practices through the organization and leads processimprovement.

Responsibilities:
- Directly,andthroughdelegation,coordinatesactivitiesrequiredtoassuresafety,quality,delivery,and cost meet specified targets.
- Assuresthecomplianceofbehavior-basedsafetyinitiativesandcontinuouslyimprovessafetyperformance.
- Executesqualitycontrolplansforcompliance tostandardsanddrivesvariationreductionwithintheprocess.
- Assesseson-timedeliveryperformanceanddevelopsactionstoimproveandsustainhighlevelofperformance.
- Holdsdirectresponsibilityformanagingcostbyeffectivemanagementoflabor,overtime,andexpenditures.
- Determinestaffingrequirementsweeklyandre-deployresourcesduringtheweekasneededtoaddress any shifting staffing needs or changes in priorities and scheduling.
- Reviewsandanalyzesproductionreportstodeterminerootcausesofvariancefrombudget,anddevelops and executes corrective actions, using structured root cause analysis, MDI and Policy Deploymentmethodologies.
- UsingLeanprinciples,formteamsandinvolvepeopletoimproveproductivity,decreaseleadtimes, reduce waste and attain customer quality requirements.
- Reviewsandanalyzesproductionreportstodeterminerootcausesofvariancefrombudgetanddevelops and executes corrective actions.
- RecommendandinitiatecostreductionprogramscenteredaroundcapitalimprovementswhereROIand pay back criteria are favorable.
- Promotes,prepares,andparticipatesinkaizenactivities.Sustainsresults.
- FacilitatestheexecutionofdailyGembawalkby assuringtheproperutilizationofhour-by-hour,SQDC boards and War Room tools.
- InconjunctionwithHumanResourceManager,coordinatesappropriate?requiredtooperate?and ?required on roles? staffing levels.
- Directstheeffortsofplantsupervisiontoensuretheconsistentapplicationofhumanresourcepolicies, procedures, and plant rules.Assures adherence to safety accountability guidelines.
- Coachesandmentorsteammemberstoassuretheirongoingdevelopment
- Staysabreastofnewtrendsanddevelopmentsinmethods,techniques,equipment,tools,materials,and supplies,whichmightbeincorporatedinto theproductionprocesstoincreaseefficiencyorbetteruseof resources.Researches and recommends capital equipment purchases.
- Participatesinspecialprojectsandperformsotherdutiesasassigned.
Qualifications:
- Ahands-onleaderthatisarolemodelwithhigh integrity,positiveinfluence,andstrongbusinessacumen that embraces change, possesses a continuous improvement mindset, and has a passion for exceeding customer and company expectations.
- DegreeinEngineering,IndustrialTechnologyorBusinessorequivalent10yearsofstafflevelleadershipexperience.
- Minimumof7years'experienceinOperationsand/orLeanManagement.
- Printingindustryexperienceispreferred.
- Experienceinbeingachangeagentincomplextransformationalactivities.
- Significantexperienceinimplementationof Leanprincipalsastheyapplytomanufacturingoperations.
- Ability toapplystructuredproblem-solvingmethodologiestodeterminerootcauseofproblemsand provide effective countermeasures.
