The Sustainability Technician is responsible for managing all waste streams to minimize waste and increase recycling.

- Sort all “waste” to maximize recycling.
- Setup and maintain recycling bins at equipment to allow for easy separation of like goods.
- Operate compactors.
- Operate all baling equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on baling equipment.
- Keep waste accumulation areas clean.
- Load recycle product onto trailers.
- Coordinate pick up of all recycle streams.
- Keep internal accumulation of recycle waste streams organized and areas clean.
- Perform other preventative maintenance tasks if time allows.
- Perform weekly cleaning plans as directed by Management.
- Help in Finishing department when time permits or directed by Management.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
- High level mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to maintain a working pace consistent with the requirements of the job.
- Must be able to handle and move press carts, roll, cylinders and other materials required for the successful completion of the job.
- Must work well in a Team environment.
- Must be able to effectively give direction, praise, and criticism.
- Must be able to receive direction, praise and criticism effectively.
- May be required to work with Customers and Suppliers effectively.
