The Slitter is responsible for taking master label rolls from the Rewind Feeder and transforms rolls into specific customer order rolls ready for shipping.
Why Work At MCC
- Compensation: $21.00/hour
- Days, 6am – 6pm, 2-2-3 rotating shift
- Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k)
- Paid Holidays: New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floating holidays
- Sets up rewind machine to cut and rewind specific counts per customer order
- Runs orders, fills out core labels to identify order, and stacks orders on carts
- Keeps orders separated by size, city, UPC or plant numbers
- Checks rolls while running for misprinting; report error to pressman and supervisor
- Cuts out “bad” labels on rolls and splices rolls
- Directs errors to rework area
- Rotates through rework area to rework “bad” rolls
- Clean rewind machine or turret machine as needed
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Operate turret machine
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
