Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes, including payroll, benefits administration, talent acquisition, compliance, employee relations, and organizational development. This role partners closely with leadership to support business goals, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a positive and productive workplace culture.
The position operates independently and does not have direct reports.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee all HR functions, including payroll, compensation, benefits administration, and employee records management.
- Lead full-cycle talent management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, employee relations, and terminations.
- Partner with leadership to support workforce planning, retention, and succession strategies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Manage workers’ compensation claims and support workplace safety initiatives, including participation in the Safety Committee.
- Collaborate with finance on payroll accuracy and audit preparation.
- Manage HR vendors and support company operations, including social media oversight and employee engagement events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in HR management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Salary : $60,000 - $90,000
