Position Summary. 2ND SHIFT ONLY.

We are looking for an experienced Robotics Technician to support our automotive production operations. This role will focus on ABB industrial robots, requiring expertise with programming edits, troubleshooting, and optimization of robot functions. The ideal candidate will be proficient with the ABB teach pendant, capable of supporting both preventative and corrective maintenance, and ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair ABB robots and related automation equipment.
  • Perform program edits, touch-ups, and path adjustments using ABB teach pendant.
  • Support production by responding to robot-related downtime events quickly and effectively.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration on robotic systems.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, controls, and engineering teams to improve system reliability.
  • Assist in end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) setup, adjustments, and repairs.
  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and robotic schematics.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, program changes, and equipment performance.
  • Train operators and maintenance staff on proper robotic system use when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience working with ABB robots in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency with ABB teach pendant operations (jogging, path adjustments, I/O setup, basic program editing).
  • Experience troubleshooting robotic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols in automated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as required for production support.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical training, certification, or associate degree in Robotics, Automation, or Mechatronics strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, and work in confined areas as needed.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
