Loan Servicing Specialist

Job Description:

The Loan Servicing Specialist ensures loans are accurately maintained in the bank’s core system and supporting documentation is complete, current, and compliant with record-keeping procedures. This role supports both internal and external customers by keeping loan portfolio information up to date and ensuring collateral is properly maintained, secured, and insured as applicable.

Expectations:

• Board new loans accurately into the bank’s core system.
• Maintain loan files throughout the life of the loan.
• Track and report on required items such as collateral insurance, mortgage re-inscriptions, UCCs, escrow accounts, and related documentation.
• Help ensure proper insurance coverage for collateral, including force-placed insurance when needed.
• Support imaging, storage, and research of loan documentation.
• Process loan payments, payoffs, paid loan files, and collateral releases.
• Monitor and reconcile loan-related general ledger accounts as needed.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and values in all work.
  
  
  

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of loan servicing or related experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of loan products, services, and servicing processes.
• Experience working with loan core systems.
  
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of FISERV Premier or similar core systems.
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines and loan documentation.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
