Our plumbing company is looking for an Excavator Operator to repair or replace residential water and sewer lines.. You must be able to coordinate and collaborate with other workers and supervisors, so clear communication skills are crucial. You should have the skills to operate an excavator in order to dig residential water and sewer lines in a safe manner.
Excavator Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate truck and trailer in a safe manner to and from jobsites.
- Coordinate with other workers to determine dig sites
- Excavate around other utilities in a safe manner
- Conduct routine maintenance on your equipment
- Manage and instruct crew in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensure proper repair and instalation of water and sewer lines per code
- Meet with appropriate Municipal inspectors
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance experience
- Communication skills
