We are currently looking for a full-time Worker’s Compensation Paralegal to help us meet the needs of our growing legal practice.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsible for all billable tasks: medical records, discovery, etc.

Drafts various legal documents for attorney review

Requests, follows-up on, and organizes medical record files

E-File documents within appropriate court filing systems (Kansas City)

Manages and organizes case files
-
Researches and analyzes case data
-
Drafts discovery
-
Communicates with outside counsel, physicians, court personnel and other experts

Bills time contemporaneously

Assists attorneys with case-related requests

Responds to record and legal documentation requests

Answers phone calls, takes messages or transfers calls to appropriate parties

Works with highly confidential information and always maintains utmost confidentiality

Acts in a stewardship capacity for MVP, works as a genuine, confident, functional member of the team, is hardworking with the ability to be innovative and firm focused in alignment with our core values

Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:

2- or 4-year degree and a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a paralegal role; prior experience in the workers compensation practice area is preferred

Superb communication/customer service skills - both written and verbal

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable

Ability to juggle multiple high priority tasks at a time
