Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, mechanically inclined Part-Time Equipment Technician to support our restaurant locations in the Nashville area. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and performing light preventative maintenance on commercial kitchen and HVAC-related equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in appliance repair, restaurant equipment service, HVAC, or general mechanical maintenance who wants flexible part-time work.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair Merrychef ovens
- Repair and maintain commercial toasters and small kitchen appliances
- Perform light preventative maintenance on:
- Air conditioning units
- Walk-in coolers
- Refrigeration equipment
- Replace minor parts (switches, fans, heating elements, belts, etc.)
- Identify issues before major breakdowns occur
- Coordinate with management when outside vendors are required
- Maintain basic service records for repairs and maintenance performed
Qualifications
- Experience with commercial kitchen equipment preferred
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and refrigeration helpful
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working in restaurant environments
