About the Role:
McAlester Regional Health Center (MRHC) is seeking a strategic and collaborative Revenue Cycle Director to provide leadership, coordination, and direction for teams and functions that impact revenue cycle performance across MRHC entities. This role ensures outsourced operational revenue cycle processes are effectively coordinated with internal front-end and mid-cycle services to create a seamless, patient-centered cycle of service. The Revenue Cycle Director reports directly to the Executive Director of Finance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations within a health system.
- Strong knowledge of national healthcare trends, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards impacting revenue cycle operations.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Certification through Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), or other recognized healthcare revenue cycle certification.
- Experience leading multi-entity or system-wide revenue cycle initiatives
Responsibilities:
- Foster a collaborative, engaged, and accountable culture across the Revenue Cycle, measured by defined internal benchmarks.
- Develop and implement strategies to accelerate and maximize cash collections across MRHC entities.
- Provide oversight and coordination to maintain chargemaster accuracy and revenue integrity processes.
- Lead MRHC’s Denial Prevention Program, ensuring policies, procedures, and education support best-practice processes that minimize denials and optimize reimbursement.
- Keep the executive leadership team informed of A/R performance and payor trends, including benchmarking, root cause analysis, and action plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments (IT, Nursing, Imaging, Lab, Clinics, etc.) to streamline workflows and improve claims accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide oversight of revenue cycle vendor relationships, ensuring process alignment, performance accountability, and measurable outcomes.
