Job Summary:
Mcalester Country Club is seeking a motivated, reliable individual to join our Grounds Maintenance team as an Entry-Level Golf Grounds Crew Member. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a team that takes pride in maintaining a high-quality golf course.
Responsibilities:
- Operate hand tools and small equipment (mowers, trimmers, etc.)
- Mow fairways, greens, tees, and roughs
- Rake and maintain bunkers
- Assist with landscaping, planting, and debris removal
- Set up and maintain course accessories (tee markers, flags, etc.)
- Perform routine maintenance tasks as directed by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
- Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines
Qualifications:
- No experience necessary — training provided!
- Must be able to work early mornings (e.g. starting around 5:00–6:00 AM)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation
Preferred (but not required):
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or golf course maintenance
- Interest in golf or turf management
