McAfee Safety Analysis, Inc. is seeking an experienced Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to join our team contingent upon contract award for an upcoming municipal environmental consulting project with the City of Montgomery, Alabama. The selected professional will provide on-call industrial hygiene services supporting indoor environmental quality (IEQ) investigations and microbial assessments in municipal facilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct building evaluations and indoor environmental quality (IEQ) assessments.
- Perform microbial investigations, including air, surface, and bulk sampling.
- Evaluate HVAC systems, moisture intrusion, and ventilation conditions.
- Prepare technical reports with findings, conclusions, and remediation recommendations.
- Review laboratory analytical results and interpret sampling data.
- Provide consultation during remediation activities when requested.
- Conduct post-remediation verification assessments.
- Coordinate with client representatives and project managers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience performing building evaluations and developing remediation recommendations.
- Experience conducting indoor air quality (IAQ)/IEQ and microbial investigations.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental and occupational health regulations.
- Strong technical writing and report preparation skills.
- Ability to travel to project locations within Alabama as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting municipal, state, or federal government clients.
- Experience with mold assessments, moisture investigations, and remediation verification.
- Familiarity with accredited laboratory sampling procedures and chain-of-custody documentation.
- Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
