We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Property Management Intern to join our team in the residential property management field. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in residential property management while working closely with the corporate level, supporting the Director of Property Operations. This internship will provide a comprehensive understanding of property management, from tenant relations to corporate-level operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Key Responsibilities
- Tenant Relations: Assist in addressing tenant inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Leasing Support: Help in leasing activities, including preparing lease documents, conducting property showings, and supporting move-ins and move-outs.
- Property Inspections: Assist in performing regular inspections to ensure proper maintenance and compliance with regulations and standards.
- Maintenance Coordination: Help track and coordinate maintenance requests, ensuring timely responses to property-related issues.
- Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service, handling tenant requests and concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
- Corporate-Level Responsibilities (Working with the Director of Property Operations):
- Operational Support: Assist the Director of Property Operations in overseeing the performance of multiple properties within the portfolio.
- Process Improvement: Help identify and implement best practices for improving efficiency and operations at the property level.
- Reporting and Analytics: Support in preparing operational reports, including occupancy, leasing, and financial performance for the executive team.
- Strategy Execution: Assist in executing corporate strategies at the property level, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments within the company to ensure smooth property operations and alignment with corporate goals.
- Financial Reporting: Support the tracking of rents collected, processing invoices, and helping with budget preparation and financial reports.
- Marketing & Advertising: Assist in marketing efforts, including creating listings for available units, posting on rental platforms, and contributing to social media campaigns.
- Project Assistance: Provide support for property improvement projects, including coordinating with contractors and tracking project timelines.
- Administrative Tasks: Provide support with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and organizing property documents.
- All Other Duties Assigned
Must hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation for travel to and from work, as well as for program needs.
