Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Qualified Mental Health Professional to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems, to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention protocols to ensure patient safety during acute episodes.
- Provide specialized counseling for specific populations including children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, and individuals experiencing PTSD or grief.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans and coordinate case management activities.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives to support evidence-based practices and improve service delivery.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to extend mental health services remotely while ensuring confidentiality and quality of care.
- Apply social work principles to support patients’ social determinants of health and facilitate access to community resources.
- Conduct intake assessments, behavioral health screenings, and diagnostic evaluations to establish treatment goals aligned with ICD coding standards.
Experience
- Proven experience working in outpatient or inpatient mental health settings with a focus on behavioral health or clinical counseling.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and trauma-informed care including PTSD management.
- Hands-on experience with crisis intervention, crisis management protocols, and behavior management strategies in diverse populations.
- Familiarity with medical records systems, medical terminology related to behavioral health, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding practices (including CPT coding), and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting patient assessments for individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder or intellectual disabilities.
- Telehealth experience is highly desirable for delivering remote mental health services effectively.
- Knowledge of pharmacological treatments related to psychopharmacology is a plus for integrated patient care approaches.
