Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Qualified Mental Health Professional to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems, to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
• Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention protocols to ensure patient safety during acute episodes.
• Provide specialized counseling for specific populations including children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, and individuals experiencing PTSD or grief.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology effectively.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans and coordinate case management activities.
• Engage in clinical research initiatives to support evidence-based practices and improve service delivery.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to extend mental health services remotely while ensuring confidentiality and quality of care.
• Apply social work principles to support patients’ social determinants of health and facilitate access to community resources.
• Conduct intake assessments, behavioral health screenings, and diagnostic evaluations to establish treatment goals aligned with ICD coding standards.

Experience

• Proven experience working in outpatient or inpatient mental health settings with a focus on behavioral health or clinical counseling.
• Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and trauma-informed care including PTSD management.
• Hands-on experience with crisis intervention, crisis management protocols, and behavior management strategies in diverse populations.
• Familiarity with medical records systems, medical terminology related to behavioral health, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding practices (including CPT coding), and HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Experience conducting patient assessments for individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder or intellectual disabilities.
• Telehealth experience is highly desirable for delivering remote mental health services effectively.
• Knowledge of pharmacological treatments related to psychopharmacology is a plus for integrated patient care approaches.
