AR/AP Specialist – Electrical Construction (QuickBooks)Summary:We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Specialist to support financial operations in our electrical construction company. This role handles billing, collections, vendor payments, job cost coding, and accurate recordkeeping in QuickBooks.Responsibilities:Prepare and process progress billings, T&M invoices, and change order billings.Submit invoices via customer portals and track approvals/collections (eg Procore/Textura etc).Prepare AIA documentsPrepare and send monthly statementsMaintain AR aging, lien waivers, and compliance documents.Review and enter vendor invoices, match to POs/delivery tickets, and resolve discrepancies.Process weekly AP payments, manage retainage, and maintain vendor files (W-9s, insurance).Ensure accurate job cost coding for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.Assist with month-end reconciliations and financial reportsRequirements:2 years of AR/AP experience in construction (electrical preferred).Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online).Knowledge of progress billing, retainage, job cost accounting, and construction documentation.Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
