MC Carrier LLC is hiring an experienced Trucking Dispatcher for our El Mirage terminal in the Phoenix metro area. You’ll manage daily dispatch for Arizona-based drivers, coordinate freight between our Arizona and Nevada terminals, and help build outbound routes that bring trucks back to Arizona for dedicated customers.
This role requires trucking dispatch or fleet operations experience. You should be comfortable working with drivers, hours of service, equipment, load planning, and the changing demands of a live terminal operation.
What You’ll Do
- Dispatch Arizona-based and Phoenix-area drivers for local, dedicated, and regional freight.
- Plan AZ–NV routes and coordinate driver and equipment handoffs with our Las Vegas dispatch team.
- Build outbound routes from Arizona while maintaining enough trucks to cover Phoenix-area dedicated freight.
- Match loads with driver hours of service, available equipment, appointments, and next available times.
- Coordinate pickups, deliveries, yard moves, trailer staging, and equipment readiness with the AZ Terminal Manager and Maintenance team.
- Enter and update routes, shipment details, and completed orders in the dispatch TMS.
- Monitor GPS/ELD information and stay in contact with drivers about route progress, delays, and their next available time.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, missed appointments, detention, and other service issues.
- Communicate with customers, brokers, and internal teams, and leave accurate notes for shift changes and after-hours coverage.
- Track truck utilization, empty miles, on-time performance, and driver home time for the Arizona fleet.
- Support drivers through clear, respectful communication and bring recurring problems forward with recommended solutions.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2–3 years of experience in trucking dispatch, driver management, fleet operations, or terminal operations
- Working knowledge of load planning, hours of service, truck utilization, and empty-mile control
- Experience with a TMS or dispatch system and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with FMCSA/DOT requirements and ELD/GPS tools
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make sound decisions and stay calm when plans change
- Ability to work on-site at our El Mirage, AZ terminal
Preferred Qualifications
- Dispatch experience with AZ–NV, Southwest regional, or dedicated freight
- Experience with drop-and-hook operations and trailer pools
- Experience balancing local terminal work with regional routes
- Reefer dispatch experience
- Knowledge of the Phoenix metro area and Southwest freight market
