Role Description The Information Technology Help Desk Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is responsible for providing first-line technical support to end users, including diagnosing and resolving issues related to desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other office hardware. The technician will respond to help desk tickets, troubleshoot software and network connectivity problems, and escalate complex incidents as needed. Daily activities include installing and configuring workstations, performing routine maintenance, documenting resolutions, and guiding users through step-by-step solutions in a clear and professional manner. The role also involves collaborating with the broader IT team to ensure systems remain secure, stable, and aligned with MBPS support standards.
Qualifications
- Strong technical support and help desk support skills, with experience handling user inquiries and incident resolution.
- Hands-on experience with desktop computers, including installation, configuration, and basic hardware maintenance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting common software, operating system, and network connectivity issues.
- Ability to provide printer support, including setup, configuration, and resolving print-related problems.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or macOS environments, basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and common business productivity tools.
- Clear spoken and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
