JOB DESCRIPTION:
The inside Claims Adjuster position is responsible for working directly with contract holders, dealers and repair shops, as well as, working with outside mechanical inspectors to determine service contract coverage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Communicate with repair shops and customers involving coverage and inquiries regarding automotive service contracts.
· Work with outside mechanical inspectors to determine coverage and work with parts vendors to supply various parts to repair facilities as needed.
· Determine and authorize coverage of repairs with repair shops and dealers in order to repair vehicles per the service contract guidelines.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
· Work well in a team with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
· Experience with Microsoft Office products (specifically Outlook, Word and Excel).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· Automotive background required, preferably in a dealership environment (Service Advisor, Service Manager or Technician) or automotive degree program.
· ASE certification required (within 60 days of employment).
· Spanish bilingual candidates are a plus!
