Work Schedule: PRN, as needed
Compensation: Hourly rates range from $35.00 to $40.00, dependent on experience
Summary:
Will assist in the operations of a physical therapy clinic including patient care, functional abilities testing (“lifts”), administration, confidential medical record management, and office maintenance/cleaning.
Essential Duties:
- Patient care will include assessing vitals, supervising, and carrying out the plan of care set by the physical therapist and medical charting in accordance with the State Physical Therapy Assistant’s Practice Act and Statutes.
- Lift/fit testing will include the objective and unbiased assessment of a person’s ability to safely complete pre-determined tasks with proper mechanics.
- Administrative responsibilities will include patient and provider scheduling, copying, faxing, typing/computer use, and phone work.
- Medical record management will include insuring confidentiality under HIPAA law, insurance authorizations, and filing.
- Office maintenance and cleaning will include table surface disinfecting, laundry, exercise and modality equipment care, and supply inventory and stocking.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Certificate from an accredited PTA program.
- Current State PTA license
- Current CPR documentation
- Must be willing to provide coverage to all Los Angeles area clinics as needed with location varying dependent on business needs.
