Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Summary:
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for financial data integrity and for executing all processes related to monthly accounting close, including the preparation of account reconciliations and monthly close journal entries, and ensuring all transactions are recorded in the general ledger base GAAP principles and procedures. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with senior management and finance leadership to implement the financial strategy of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing and executing month-end close activities
- Maintains the subledger for fixed assets and prepares depreciation/amortization and other fixed asset schedules.
- Prepares journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assists financial management in the preparation and completion of reports, surveys, special projects and analysis of financial statements.
- Conducts variance analysis on financial statements and provides explanations for unusual fluctuations.
- In depth analysis of supply costs as compared to revenue and procedures performed.
- Assist with the general accounts payable function.
- Performs credit card reconciliations and receipt matching.
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Works closely with leaders to identify areas of cost savings
- Performs other general accounting and department projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, or related field, required.
- At least 5 years of related experience required.
- Prior healthcare experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
- Experience with Sage Intacct, Bill.com and SAP Concur is a plus.
