We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Amazon Relay Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, Your expertise in heavy lifting, vehicle maintenance, and load handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to transport goods between locations.
- Load and unload cargo using manual techniques or mechanical equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical soundness and compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transportation activities to ensure safety for yourself and others.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, utilizing mechanical aids or manual effort as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff to coordinate delivery schedules and address any logistical issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy trucks such as dump trucks, flatbeds, or tractor-trailers.
- Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery operations, preferably with experience handling roll-off or front loader trucks.
- Mechanical knowledge of truck systems for basic troubleshooting and maintenance checks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record demonstrating safe operation of large vehicles.
