Teaching and Curriculum Development
Faculty
are required to maintain a full-time workload, which includes teaching across
the EMT and Paramedicine Programs. Instructional duties encompass classroom,
clinical, laboratory, and simulation-based courses, ensuring comprehensive
coverage of all program components.
In
addition to teaching, faculty members prepare syllabi and develop curricula for
lectures, laboratory sessions, and simulation settings. These materials are
designed to address course and program student learning outcomes as well as
Graduation Competencies, whenever applicable.
Instructional
Methods
Effective
teaching is expected in traditional, hybrid, and online learning environments.
Faculty members employ a range of instructional strategies to address the
diverse needs of students enrolled in the program.
Student
Support and Advising
Faculty
serve as academic advisors to students, providing guidance throughout their
educational journey. Office hours are maintained to support student needs and
foster academic success.
Governance
and Committee Participation
Participation
in College, Division, and Program governance is required. This includes
attending meetings of the Division, Department, Advisory Committee, and other
relevant committees, as well as contributing to the effective operation and
advancement of the program.
