Cannabis Cultivation Technician

Job Summary:

MB1 is looking for someone eager to enter the cannabis industry in an entry level role. This position will be a “rover” position, allowing the candidate to assist and learn various aspects of the cannabis cultivation environment (more on this below). We are seeking someone who is flexible and adaptable; a team-player who is willing to step in and handle different responsibilities as needed. This role involves working side by side with the general manager, assistant manager and the owners.

This is a full-time job, working a minimum of 40 hours weekly with a chance for additional hours as needed (overtime-eligible).

Hourly rate: $18.00-$20.00/hr

Job Responsibilities:

Assist each department within cultivation with the following:

• Compliance
• Cloning
• Transplanting
• Harvesting
• Bucking
• Trimming
• Cleaning
• Execute core flower tasks and techniques according to MB1’s SOPs and Management Instruction in a conscientious and skillful manner.
• Core flower tasks and techniques include, but are not limited to, trellising, training, defoliating,
• pruning, cleaning, and harvesting.
• Completing tasks based on expectations and deadlines set by the management team.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment to mitigate potential pest problems and facilitate an organized and efficient workflow.
• Keep all equipment clean and sanitized.
• Must be able to safely use ladders rated with a maximum working load of 300 lbs (including bodyweight, clothing, and tools). This is in accordance with OSHA ladder safety standards to ensure employee safety and proper equipment use.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Possess valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Must pass all background checks.
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
• Strong communication skills.
• Hardworking, responsible, trustworthy, and eager to learn!
• Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 35 pounds (100 pounds with assistance). This job may require walking or standing for periods of time along with lifting, bending over, and crouching. If you suffer from knee or back-related issues, it will be difficult to perform several tasks associated with this role.
